The obverse side features the bust of the Genius Populi Romani (GPR) with a sceptre over his shoulder. The genius of the Roman people is the higher power who creates and maintains life. The reverse side features a scepter surrounded by a wreath, a globe, and a rudder. The globe can be seen as a symbol of the cosmos and the rulers power over all of it. This power expands with the symbol of the rudder as the ruler steering the course of the empire to the world victoriously. The coin proclaims a message of victory for the Roman people.
